Before you leave Latvia

• Declare your new address abroad — Declare your place of residence abroad with the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs — online through latvija.gov.lv — so your Latvian address registration ends.

• Tax and social security — Inform the State Revenue Service (VID) of your departure, and keep a record of your social insurance contributions.
• Lease and utilities — Give notice as required by your lease, and close energy, internet and mobile accounts with final readings.

Exporting your belongings from Latvia
